Along with determination and belief is being enthusiastic about your goal. Everything that happens along the way is another joyous milestone, taking you another step closer to success. Enthusiasm adds to your positive perspective and affirms your personal motivation in the outcome.

Enthusiasm comes from inspiration. Inspiration comes from knowledge and enrichment of the mind, while ignorance fosters and intensifies fear. Inspiration also helps further give defination and detail your action plan. There are many sources from which to get inspiration from. The most obvious is education, whether it is motivational material to keep you on your path or gaining more specific knowledge to achieve your success. Education may be reading books, magazines, and journals, taking workshops and classes, listening to tapes/CDs, and watching videos that provides motivation tips in the area of your goal. You become what you study, so expose your mind to anything and everything that adds to the achievement of your success.

Also, include educational and motivational materials that will help you after your success is achieved. Currently, you are in “the process”. Once your goal is achieved, you must ensure that you already have the knowledge and motivation to use the success in a positive manner and keep it moving forward.

The people that surround you influence your path, your attitude, your determination, your belief, your inspiration, and the outcome of your success. If you want to achieve your goal you should surround yourself with people who have the same encouraging vision and desire as yourself. . Otherwise, you may be eliminating your success through the power of association. Associations may mean being around the people who can make your success happen. Donald Trump did just this. He associated with those people, whom he wanted to emulate and who could assist his success. Now, that type of success may not be what you’re after; however, associations still impact your goals. Here’s an example.

Darren used to be an alcoholic. After he hit bottom, he went into rehab and cleaned up his life. He joined Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and tried to convince his wife to join Al-Anon, an arm of AA that helps spouses of alcoholics to eliminate all of their “old habits” they developed over the years to cope with the alcoholism (however, they also trigger a recovering alcoholic’s past habits, as well). She refused any type of counseling and, at every opportunity, would “push Darren’s buttons”. Having difficulty retaining his sobriety under his wife’s subconscious attempts to return to her comfort zone (though it was detrimental to her well-being, since Darren was physically abusive when drunk), Darren eventually divorced his wife. He’s now been sober and happily remarried to a supporting spouse for many years.

One of the most supporting and inspirational tools to achieve success is to have a hero. Oprah Winfrey, talk show host, once told Barbara Walters, renowned interviewer and newscaster, that, if it were not for Ms. Walters, she wouldn’t be where she is today. This is a wonderful example of using a hero to achieve. The great thing about emulating heroes is that they can be living, dead or even fictitious.

Finding a hero (or heroine) to emulate gives you many achievement advantages. That person is already the success you seek. Learn all you can about them. If possible, take them to lunch and interview them. Find out what they purposefully did to achieve. What did they do differently to make the process to success easier and faster? Put photos of this individual all over your living space and on your desk at work. Keep a list of the person’s traits that you wish to emulate, and incorporate them and anything that helped your hero to achieve into your plan of action.

Look around you. There are many sources of inspiration for you to draw upon. The more inspired you are, the more likely you will strive to achieve your life goals.

We also have a self improvement blog where Patric Chan shares his personal success secrets and strategies regularly.

Imagine you went to a store and bought a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle, but it didn’t have a picture on the coverof what the end result should look like. Wouldn’t you have a much harder time putting the puzzle together, than if you had a clear imageof the end result? Definitely! Through trial, and a lot of error, you may eventually put it together, but the process will be long and arduous. Having a clear picture of the end result eases the feelings of frustration and increases your chances ofaccomplishment.

The same holds true for your goals, your dreams, and your aspirations. The images you hold in your mind impactdetermine what you focus on and will influenceyour actions. They supply the guiding light by which your conscious and subconscious mind act. Planting apositiveimage in your mind greatly influences your chances forsuccess in achieving and being what and who you want to be.

If you have ever participated in a race, you already know the feeling you get close to the finish line. Your pace quickens, you feel the adrenaline flowing through every cell of your being, and your mind becomes even more centered. When your goal is in sight, your outlook changes dramatically. Your mental attitude pushes you forward, even when your body aches and you feel physically like you want to give up. It is like being drawn to the finish line by a force that is nearly unstoppable.

This purposeful and powerful strength arises from clarity. The more precisely you can visualize your goals – the things you would like to change, the things you would like to attract, the things you genuinely desire – the more distinctly you will understand how to achieve them. When you can “see” your goal, the path that will take you there becomes illuminated as well. Therein lies the power of clarity, and why it is so crucial for you to be clear about what you really want to accomplish.

When you have clarity, the pictures in your mind are vibrant and rich in detail. They are animated and full of hope, wonder, love, and passion. When you see what you want, you also see yourself in possession of what you desire. You experience excitement, satisfaction, and fulfilment. These positive emotions are what draw you to continue on your journey.

Whether your goals are personal or professional, it is the visualization of having achieved them that makes all the difference. If you want to improve your sales by twenty five percent this year, organize your office, reduce overhead expenses, improve your communication skills, run a marathon, or create more balance in your life – see it, feel it, experience it.

To create a clear vision for your life, consider the following tips from an international life coach:

Imagine yourself being the best you can possibly be. What are you doing? How are you feeling? Who are you with?

Hold that image in your mind every day, moment-by-moment.

Make your image tangible. Draw it or write about it. Refer to the hard copy at least once a day.Regard your visualization as one of your most precious assets.

Safeguard it and refuse to let any outside distractions or negativity blur or erase your picture.

Persist and have faith that your mind and body will work in unison and you will find a way to live the life you desire.

Your life is one big jigsaw puzzle – slowly, over time, the hope is that the pieces will fall into place. Make the process that much easier and improve your likelihood of success, by planting a clear and vibrant image on the “box of life” for you to follow.

challenging to get into.~One of the more difficult tasks for the new author is finding a publisher.} The writers that make a very good living, such as Stephen King or John Grisham are in the minority. It takes a best seller to enable you to give up the day job. Finding time to write is often a major problem for new part time writers. I guess I’ll make time if I want it badly enough. The book market is very competitive. There are less independent publishers now and the big companies don’t want to take too many risks on a new writer. It would often appear these companies make illogical choices. J.K. Rowling was rejected several times.

I read sometimes about people who have sold their very first novel and been provided a huge advance to create yet another novel or book. Just when I’m fuming with envy, I notice that they sold the movie rights for squillions of dollars! The most irritating factor is when a celebrity is asked to write a book, only to hire an anonymous freelancer. Athletic personas seem to do that a lot. They take almost all the credit and most of the income. British football star David Beckham even won a literary award for his so called work at an autobiography.

The fortunate authors are the ones that have a publisher really driving them. A new author needs plenty of publicity after they write a book. Sometimes, the public is manipulated a little into buying a book. I have seen book covers with scantily clad ladies that I know has very little relevance to the plot.

Choosing your topic is very important. Non-fiction subjects such as cookery, travel, home improvement and gardening are always in demand. Writing a book on a topic that your are not familar with will take some additional research. On the surface, fiction appears to be a good choice, but it’s a tough market to break into. The crime and thriller genre does well but I don’t think I could come up with a clever, intricate plot. I’m more into novels about the human condition, which explore relationships and modern society. Your writing would have to be very, very good for a publisher to want to sign a contract with you.

Occasionally, an excellent first time novelist will come along. This just proves to me that the general public is underestimated and there is a demand for thoughtful stories. Publishers, like TV networks and film producers should stop dumbing down.

Are you a victim of laziness, a root cause of procrastination? Do you often suffer because of what you initially considered as easy has turned difficult with the loss of time, and what appeared hard, due to further delay, has become impossible now?

You may draw comfort from the fact that you are in the company of many that are affected by procrastination. But you must realize that you must get rid of your laziness by shaking yourself up into action if you want to improve your personal life. Like many others, you can indeed stop procrastinating and start meeting deadlines, by following a few simple steps that teach you effective time management.

1. Plan your daily must-do activities. Draw up a to-do list; preferably, write it down on paper; or, use a computer if you prefer.

2. Prioritize the activities, giving precedence on the more important ones over the less important ones. If there are urgent things to do, but not important enough to be worried about if not done, put them below the important ones. The idea is based on the established principle that 80% of rewards accrue from 20% of effort directed towards accomplishing important work.

3. Estimate the time required for each of the listed activities after analyzing their complexity. Avoid underestimation, as you may not have enough time to do well a particular of piece of work. Similarly, avoid overestimation, for that may leave some activities without enough time. A realistic budgeting of time is a must. Time allocation is a skill that is acquired with experience. So keep reviewing and revising your time schedule as you progress.

4. Organize your life. That will help you avoid wasting your precious time and you will have more time to do your work. Remember indiscipline causes confusion, even chaos, in life. It eats into your time. Avoid sloppiness. For instance, leave your personal belongings of daily use, like your glasses, your clothing, your computer etc., in the same place. If you do, you won’t have to search all over the place for them each morning. Apply the principle of doing work first and then taking time for pleasure and relaxation. Reverse the order only at the pain of falling prey to procrastination. You can get time for rest and relaxation if you are efficient in doing your assigned work.

5. Start working bit by bit. You may see a mountain at first, but mountains can be moved, especially if you begin by moving just a small stone from it. You can’t move an entire mountain in a day. Don’t get overwhelmed just because the task ahead seemed immense. That will put you off. And you will put off the task for another day, which will never come. Just begin by taking one small step and you will see your efforts at life improvement pay off.

6. Put first things first early in the day. Remember that procrastination becomes a habit over time. Begin your day by launching yourself head first into the most important job waiting to be done.

7. Learn to cope with anxiety, depression, stress and other similar conditions of the mind related to your problems in life. Keep yourself fit, not just physically but mentally as well. Learn and practice suitable mental relaxation techniques such as meditation.

You probably let procrastination without realizing it but by practicing the above steps, you will be able to slip out of it before you know it. Don’t let your life rot away due to procrastination .

Whatever we do is subject to analysis from numerous points of view, which goes the identical when someone has to analyze handwriting. It is about what we do and about what we feel and express. It is very easy to pin point these things once you identify them. Folks truly do not believe how much one’s handwriting expresses the “inner” self and what it that immense extent human handwriting provides our feelings and expressions.

These graphic shapes truly became a extremely popular as a study subject, recognized as graphology. You study someone’s handwriting based on symbols. It’s, a lot more than anything, a psychological method where each of our thoughts, even the sub-conscious ones, are expressed via these tiny, yet distinctive graphic symbols very typical for each particular person.

When experts in graphology have to analyze handwriting, it normally turns as an explicable manner of a human’s behaviour, which just isn’t likely to alter from person’s childhood towards the old age. Our handwriting is an very rich well of data about who we are. Actually, most people stick to their handwriting as it’s for entire life, although it’s said only the insecure ones alter it frequently. However, even changed, the handwriting within the eyes of graphologists generally carry the same psychological functions of an individual, it belongs to.

While analyzing handwriting, we can reveal the most intimate and individual functions of someone.

Our handwriting is not actually saying it all as on the map. Its symbols and analogy, or the lack of those two, are not probably to reveal our complete destiny or talk about what happened to us inside the past, but yet his sub-conscious signs as well as the way we put them on paper tell a lost about a person.

We’ve all probably been in this situation before.

We didn’t think that we can do something but when told that it’s real easy, hey presto, we too can do it.

It can be something as simple as unscrewing the cap of a bottle. We all know how tight these things can be. Sometimes we will try to unscrew the thing to the point were we are red in the face but it just wouldn’t budge. But when we see that somebody else can easily do it (sometimes these people are not necessarily bigger or stronger than us), we find that we can do it too.

Why is it different?

It’s because when we were handed the bottle the first time, we were usually told that the cap is tight or it’s stuck, so we too believe that it’s going to take a lot of effort to unscrew it and we just don’t have it in us. But when somebody else succeed where we failed, we immediately see that it is possible.

When we do something believing that it can be done, we can accomplish anything.

You’ll be amazed at what can happen when you believe in your abilities. An example is the man who lost his ability to walk after an accident. But if he believes that he will be able to walk again, it is possible. It might take time and many hours of physiological therapy, but as long as he believes in his ability, he will walk again.

Isn’t that what happens to our life most of the time?

There are people who want salary raise but don’t believe that they deserve it so they never got it.

There are people who want to start a business but don’t believe they have the capability so they failed.

There are people who want to win but don’t believe they could be the winner so they lost.

When you have the right belief system, you’ll succeed simply because you know it is POSSIBLE for you to be successful. In almost every case, if you want to become successful, you should convince your own self of the possibility, so it’s all about personal improvement. It is YOU who decide whether you want to achieve your goal or not and when you set your mind to it, nothing’s going to stop you.

Everything else is just background noise that can be tuned out.

Isn’t that interesting? All it takes is a shift in our believe system.

We provide thousands of self improvement articles and videos at successandlife.com where you can also submit yours to be read and watched.

What is a Vision Statement? It isn’t the vision or dream you have every once in awhile about the car or house or lifestyle you want to have. It is not part of your “wish” list that says some day I would like to have, “_____”.

Why do I need a Vision Statement? I am getting along just fine with the way things are, I am paying my bills and working my way up in the JOB I have why do I want to rock the boat. Psychologically you live in the present, you see what you have, what you do and who you are in the “present” not in the future. You get up each morning and see where you live, what you drive, where you work and what you do each day and every week as it is right now.

To take advantage of your Dreams to Achieve Your True Worth you need to start seeing your life as it will be as you start living in your True Worth, your new lifestyle. But how can this be done if you only see your life as it is right now? How do you use the power of your mind and start moving into the “YOU” you deserve to be?

Voila, enter the Vision Statement. This statement is a statement of your new lifestyle, the things you deserve, such as the house, the car, the ability to assist others, the trips, the vacations, etc. Everything in this statement is in the present tense as if you already have them and are living them. Here is where your Dreams become present tense and active because you are living it TODAY and it is awesome. The is one of the most powerful motivation techniques there is today!

“The surround sound system fills the interior of my _______ (type of vehicle) as I am driving back from the airport. My trip to ___________ was just as I had imagined it would be. And after spending that time on an airplane the smell of new leather in my _____________ is so refreshing. Just ahead I see my two story home that some of my friends call my mansion in the middle of nowhere. It is surrounded by trees and the lush lawn just begs to be walked on with your bare feet?”

Draw a beautiful picture in your accurately with all the details of your new life. Describe in minute detail the exterior and landscaping of your home, all the rooms and what is in each room. Your daily routine as it will be and the things you plan to do next, (i.e. Trips, Vacations, visiting, learning, etc.) just everything you have ever dreamed of doing. Running your business out of your office or from your office building (if you want to keep your business and personal life separate). Your investments, your rental properties, the properties you are flipping, etc.

The greater the detail the better easier it is for it to become part of you. The more you read it the more your posture and self assurance will improve. As these improve your attitude will improve because you are becoming your Vision, you are the person that has and does all of these things because in your subconscious you are creating the You that You have always Deserved to be. Your self confidence will increase and come to the top and you will feel so much better about yourself and your ability to improve your lifestyle.

Reading your Vision Statement every day is one way to keep up your personal motivation to begin this life enhancing experience but one that works even better is to record your Vision Statement as you read it and copy it to a CD or tape so that you can listen to it at least once a day. Studies have shown that there are two voices that have the most profound influence upon someone’s life your mother’s voice or your voice.

Day after day of hearing your vision your subconscious will start believing and as it starts believing so do you and that starts and keeps things moving in your life towards your new direction. This replaces the negative self talk you might be doing at the present time. Any time something negative comes up in your mind (self talk) your daily listening to or reading of your Vision Statement should eventually replace this with a positive self talk.

Might sound like gibberish to some, but it has had outstanding results for those that have committed and followed through with Visions, their goals, their action plans, etc. When do you feel it is time to write your vision statement and start hearing your new life every day? No time like the present or else you are going to end up with the same life you have now doing the same things you have been doing.

What do you “Deserve” to have? What lifestyle do you “Deserve” to live? Truthfully, “No One Deserves It More Than YOU!” because “YOU Deserve To Have It All!”

There are no two ways about the fact that career is one very necessary side of life. It is for this reason that making a right career selection is indispensable. With plenty of career options surrounding you, it is sort of obvious to pave way for masses of confusion and jitters. One option that can prove to be very worthwhile is independent writing. Here is a list of factors that can shed some light on the advantages that independent writing can offer to you.

Instant cash is among the top most reason for anyone to take up freelance writing as a career option. Most people work to make an income. Freelance writing gratifies this need straight away. You do not need to wait to get the money you have worked for. You churn out articles and the money is transferred into your account. In reality, there are lots of web sites that have started escrow systems so that you can make a transaction without being worried about being cheated.

Freelance writing also offers you an opportunity to play the role of an entrepreneur. The possibility of being your own boss in a 9-5 job are pretty slim. However, in a freelance scenario you will be able to work as and when you please. While you’ll be wanted to meet cut off dates, it will be upto your discretion as to how precisely you would like to meet them. When you have sufficient experience and understanding of the workings of this freelance job, you could also launch your own independent writing business.

While not everyone is a good writer, the independent writing job is more convenient than other ability based occupations. Having decent writing abilities will help you in this particular career field and your abilities will further improve as you get into the writing process. Average writing skills, when joined with the capability to do research will help you score above those who simply have great writing technique. These factors make freelance writing a more handy career option as contrasted to other jobs which require years of dedication and difficult work to develop the requisite abilities.

Eventually, this work arena doesn’t have a big quantity of cutthroat competition. Competition is inevitable in most career fields, in the writing field, it is on the lesser side. This is because, even with the enormous number of independent writers available, great writing abilities and research abilities are not very easily found. Hence if you possess great writing capabilities, chances are you’ll have very little competition to handle. Browsing through the web will show you that most write-ups are nearly average. By writing slightly better you might you may steer way ahead of the competition.

These above given reasons tell you why freelance writing is better than most other independent job options and justifiably so. Maybe, after discussing these points, you may find yourself more inclined to take up this creative but convenient career choice.

Creative writing competitions can serve a number of purposes. One of them is to get you writing. Should you use a maximum word count and a deadline it concentrates the mind and can result in work that otherwise would in no way have been written.. If you’re given a topic to write about it’s even much better.

An additional consideration is fame and fortune. Not really a poor incentive, but here we should be sensible. Competitions are generally for short stories and so are held by magazines or publishers. The competitions can vary from really small to really large. A couple are absolutely free but most have entry fees. This is quite acceptable, as prize money should come from somewhere. However entry fees could be quite high and should you enter quite a lot of competitions the price of fees adds up alarmingly.

The little creative writing contests have a few hundred entries and provide you with a definite opportunity of winning. In fact some of the} entries will be very bad, some will be excluded, as the authors haven’t read the submission guidelines properly, and a couple will miss the deadline totally. This cuts down on opposition to some thing manageable. If you’re a great writer you have a chance of being within the top 2 or 3. But what do you receive for your trouble? The prize money will almost certainly cover your entry charge as well as the cost of a coffee at Starbucks. You may only get a free of charge copy of the magazine sponsoring the competition. That’s about it. Your name will appear on the list of winners, but few people will read the list. So entering a little competition is little a lot more than writing practice, whatever the outcome. But writers need to start somewhere and a win or a shortlist can cheer you up a great deal and inspire you to greater things.

Big creative writing competitions are different. They attract an international entry of thousands. The winner gets an amazing prize and lots of publicity. Not free of charge publicity, do not forget the entry charge, but valuable publicity that may push a career forward. The standard of winners are going to be really high. They might be competition specialists who aren’t only superb writers but know precisely what the judges are looking for. Perhaps they are published authors who, by definition, are very experienced at their work.

You should in no way think you aren’t good enough to enter any competition but a reality check is required right here. Simply to be on the shortlist of maybe 100 writers would be to have performed well. If you win you will have earned your fame and fortune.

Obviously one certain way to avoid winning a competition isn’t to have entered within the very first place. Have a go, you may not win – not at first anyway – but you will have written your entry. If you do not accomplish the success you had hoped for within the competition. move on to the next writing competition.
